*Knock Knock*…This Thing On?

Well, I’ll be.  It looks like I’ve started a blog!

*ahem*

Welcome to Follow Your Crazy.  The only thing that has kept me from starting this writing space was the lack of a name for it.  Then suddenly, yesterday, I received a wonderful gift from a wonderful friend, the world aligned (as so often happens because of this wonderful friend), and a name was essentially handed to me.  I love it when serendipity happens.

Greetings from Denver, for the time being.  I have been here for 13 years, by way of New Mexico, by way of Texas, by way of Louisiana.

This year, after saving up since 2008, my husband and I are finally ready to start the relocation process to New Orleans.  I’ve been wanting to get back to New Orleans my entire life, and count myself incredibly lucky to have someone in my life who is willing (enthusiastically so!) to take this journey with me.  Thus, we have begun the process of Getting Our Ducks in a Row (throw in a couple geese too, will ya?), which makes this Moving Thing all the more real.

There is excitement over this.  Along with that excitement comes hope, nerves, a little bit of Sad, and an entire gamut of other emotions.  That is why I am here, to share all of this stuff, including just keeping folks updated on our progress in Getting Outta Here, as it gets rather busy answering that inquiry as often as I must.  I’ve no doubt there will also be the Various and Sundries-type posts that I’ve been known to froth forth, forthwith, too.  Heh.

Eventually, I have no doubt that this space will become one of those “My Crazy Life and the Adventures and Tribulations of Living in New Orleans” blogs, the type of which, I have found, are many, and that I read quite avidly, and whose ranks I cannot wait to join.
